The administration building.

LiMing Catholic School is a private school in the Madou District of Tainan City in the Southwest part of Taiwan. It's a fairly old school, but the campus received a facelift with the construction of new buildings a few years ago. The school teaches Junior High (Grades 7-9) and High School (Grades 10-12).

The high school currently has about 900 students and faces a shrinking young population in Taiwan. The school does what it can to be innovative and forward-thinking to attract students in a dwindling population.

English language education is important in Taiwan and at LiMing Catholic School. The students that will be participating in a Video Pen Pal Exchange with the Chinese language students at Timpview High School in Provo, Utah are taking the YouTuber Class.

The school is in the town of Madou, which is a District of Tainan City. Tainan City has about a million residents. Tainan City is known as a cultural capital of Taiwan. In Tainan City, you can easily find the influence of many cultures, including Chinese, Hakka, Japanese, Dutch, and the Indigenous Tribes. The area is also famous for its diversity and quality of food. If you ever visit Taiwan for the food, it is essential to try the food of Tainan City.

Taiwan is a nation of about 23 million people. In Taiwan, you will find incredible diversity and beauty. You can take a day trip to frigid mountaintops over 12,000 ft tall and take a comfortable walk on a tropical beach before sunset. There is much to explore.

LEAF Culture Exchange Program has brought students from Provo to discover and experience much of what Taiwan has to offer, and likewise, many Taiwanese students to explore the majesty of Utah. This international video pen pal program is facilitated by Su Ma Ma Chinese Club.
